In the village

Brockenhurst has fantastic facilities including two small supermarkets (Tesco and Co-op), a butchers, bakers, fruit and veg shop, hardware shop and various gift shops.

There is a gorgeous farm shop and tea rooms at Setley Ridge which is about 1 mile away.

Further afield

There is a big Waitrose in Lymington (about 3 miles away) and a big Tesco in New Milton.

Things to do


Sea and sand

Lymington and the Solent are 5 miles to the South providing access to some of the best yachting facilities in Europe. Neighbouring Keyhaven provides some of the most stunning sea wall walks and we are no distance at all from a multitude of both shingle and sandy beaches at Milford-on-Sea, Highcliffe, Christchurch and Bournemouth.

On foot and by bike

There is close and easy access to the 92,000 acres of the New Forest with outstanding walks, cycling and horse riding. There is a cycle hire shop just by the train station and nearby Golf courses in Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Lymington including a new adventure golf course in Lymington.

For the kids

For those with children the New Forest is an adventure playground. Not only is there the expansive New Forest to play in there is something for everyone at the amazing Moors Valley Country Park and Forest which has a massive playground, cycling trails, a miniature sit-on railway, golf, cycle hire, fishing and the Go Ape Tree Top Challenge. A few miles away you can find the picturesque village of Beaulieu which is home to the world famous National Motor Museum. Beaulieu not only has the historic Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House, the World of Top Gear and the monorail and veteran bus but has been recently updated with Little Beaulieu - a new million pound adventure play area. A visit wouldn't be complete without a trip to a farm and in Ashurst you can find Longdown Activity Farm which has a multitude of cute animals, tractor rides and a small soft play.
